The Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) Kumasi was launched on Wednesday 29th May, 2024 at a colourful ceremony at the Great Hall, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The Chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church Int., Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frimpong who was the Guest Speaker at the Launch Event could not hide his joy and lauded the idea of GCK in Kumasi.
Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frimpong seized the opportunity to admonish the body of Christ and Christians in entirety, in the Greater Kumasi to look forward to the upcoming crusade with a positive anticipation and expectation of a divine visitation.
He added that they should see their involvement in the crusade as an avenue to fulfil their core business and reason for existence as the body of Christ.
He reminded the gathering of the words of C.S. Lewis that “The Church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christ. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time”.
He further indicated that the launch of GCK should inspire all ministers to be prepared to leave their comfort zones and the luxuries of their temples and launch into the miry clay of the sinful world in which the souls of men are perishing at every tick of the clock.
He concluded by saying the prayer of Charles Spurgeon that “God should save the believers from living in comfort while sinners are sinking into hell” for the ministers.
He further called on all churches to prepare for the impending depopulation of the kingdom of the devil in Kumasi, and challenged all ministers to aspire to be part of the GCK, Kumasi.
The GCK, Kumasi is scheduled for 25th – 30th July, 2024 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
