Former President John Dramani Mahama, as part of his “Building the Ghana We Want” tour in Nalerigu, expressed doubts about the chances of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) securing victory in the upcoming December 7, 2024 elections. Apexnewsgh reports

Mahama criticized the current administration led by President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing it as a “monumental failure” and labeling it the “biggest political scam of the 4th republic.”

Mahama’s skepticism centered on the performance of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration over the past seven and a half years. He expressed surprise that anyone would choose to vote for the NPP again after the experiences of the past years. Mahama speculated that those likely to support the NPP in the elections could be individuals who have directly or indirectly benefited from the government’s initiatives, suggesting a potential divide in voter preferences based on personal gains.

Nevertheless, Mahama emphasized that a significant portion of the Ghanaian populace has witnessed a decline in their quality of life under the current leadership.

He urged voters to carefully evaluate the progress and impact of the government’s policies before casting their ballots, highlighting the importance of informed decision-making in shaping the future of the nation.

Mahama’s comments reflect a critical assessment of the incumbent administration and a call for a reevaluation of priorities in the lead-up to the pivotal 2024 elections.
