Member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has made a donation to aide research and practical works of science students of Serwaa Nyarko Senior High School.
Items donated were 100 stools, 25 tables and 2 shelves; all given to equip the school’s Biology, Physics and Chemistry laboratories.
Presentation was done by him on Friday, 19th April 2024, at the forecourt of the school.
The foregoing gesture by the Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, a.k.a “Napo” is a top up to the numerous supports he has offered the school such as donation of computers, desks plus other logistics.
Engaging students, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh disclosed that before he served as the Minister of Education, one of his biggest plans was to extend the school beyond its present boundaries plus the construction of an astro turf.
“They are going to happen”, he assured.
Owing to the challenge of lack of assembly hall and a befitting dinning hall, he promised to address them by offering the school a multi-purpose hall.
He also pledged to facelift Serwaa Nyarko SHS to a model girl school and also make it one of the best schools in the country.
After receiving the items, headmistress Madam Esther Gyasi Sarpong thanked the MP for the donation.
She called on him to keep on extending more academic support to address the litany of challenges confronting the school so as to help make it one of the model schools in the country.
