The dynamic cum stellar delivery of Lord Mayor Rohey Malick Lowe, Mayor of Banjul, the capital city of Gambia has attracted much commendations from women of Jarra Dasilame.
They have heaped praises on her in recognition of her efforts and the litany of interventions rolled out by her, which have succeeded in addressing the plight of a great number of women in the city and beyond.
Aside the foregoing, Lord Mayor Rohey Malick Lowe, who doubles as the President for Local Elected Women of Africa has also been classified by the women as a political icon, who since assuming office has revitalized lives of women, facelifted the city of Banjul by enhancing infrastructure and fostering economic growth.
The above praises came up at the time the Chief Executive for Ghana’s National Service Scheme, Hon. Osei- Assibey joined her in a visit to Jarra Dasilame-lower region of Gambia on Saturday, 29th March, 2024.
The visit formed part of a courtesy call paid of her by Hon. Osei-Assibey.
It took the form of a work inspection, aimed at accessing their in the field of agriculture, identify challenges and fast track interventions to address problems faced by them.
Scores of women expressed in an interview with www.leakyghana.com, saying her agility towards supporting women, especially her advocacy for gender equality and social justice reflects her vision and dedication to creating opportunities for women and improve their lives as well.
“She is truly an influential figure in Gambia and her delivery has salvaged great number of women within her jurisdiction”, one remarked.
