The Presidential Staffer in charge of the Black Star Experience, Mr. Rex Omar, has paid a working visit to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural and creative infrastructure in the metropolis.

The visit was hosted by the Kumasi City Mayor, Hon. Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi Agyemang, at his office at the KMA.

Following discussions, the delegation proceeded to Nhyeaso for a site selection exercise for a proposed theatre complex expected to include major ancillary facilities.
The proposed project forms part of broader initiatives under the Black Star Experience agenda aimed at promoting arts, tourism, and entertainment across the country.

When completed, the theatre complex is expected to provide a platform for cultural expression, creative performances, and tourism-related activities, while also contributing to local economic development.
Hon. Ofori Boadi Agyemang noted that the initiative underscores the commitment of government and local authorities to positioning Kumasi as a key cultural and creative hub.
He expressed optimism that the project, once realized, would enhance the city’s cultural landscape and create opportunities for artists and creative industry practitioners in the Ashanti Region.
The site inspection marks an important step toward the realization of the project, as stakeholders continue consultations to ensure the successful development of the proposed facility.
