H.E. Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson recently welcomed the Ghanaian Alumni Association-UK, led by Chairman Ed Andrews, during a productive meeting focused on education, development, and infrastructure in Ghana.

The Association, which unites thirty-three (33) alumni associations from secondary and tertiary institutions across Ghana, is committed to promoting Ghana’s image abroad, fostering unity among Ghanaian professionals, and contributing practically to national development.


The meeting featured engaging discussions on strategies to support education, development projects, and the maintenance of Ghana’s educational institutions.
H.E. Benson commended the Association for their sustained contributions to their alma maters and briefed the delegation on the significant progress being made in the country’s education sector.

Mr. Paul Adjei, Administrator of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), also joined virtually to explain the Government’s support for infrastructural development across all levels of education.
A representative from Labone Senior High School expressed gratitude to the Government for its swift response to reports that some students lacked classroom seating, underscoring the positive impact of timely interventions on learning conditions.
The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of both the Government and the Ghanaian diaspora in enhancing education and national development, reinforcing the vital role of alumni networks in shaping the future of Ghana.
