In a strategic effort to support H.E. the President’s agenda to reset Ghana’s energy sector, the Ghana Mission in France in November facilitated a high-level study tour for senior managers from Ghana’s energy institutions.

The Mission hosted a delegation from the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), led by Professor Kpessa-Whyte, as part of a targeted engagement aimed at benchmarking global best practices and drawing lessons from France’s advanced energy landscape.

The study tour focused on three key objectives. First, the delegation engaged with relevant French institutions to examine efficient energy management systems and operational models that could be adapted to strengthen Ghana’s power grid and overall sector performance. Second, the visit provided an opportunity to assess Ghana’s current position within its energy transition journey, allowing for a comparative analysis against European standards and milestones.

Finally, the engagements enabled the Ghana Mission in France to gain deeper insight into the sector’s evolving needs, helping to define the Embassy’s ongoing role in facilitating technology transfer, partnerships, and strategic linkages.
By successfully coordinating and supporting the visit, the Ghana Mission in Paris reaffirmed its commitment to serving as a vital bridge between Ghana and international partners.

The initiative underscores the Mission’s readiness to leverage diplomatic platforms and global expertise in support of the Government’s efforts to deliver a resilient, efficient, and future-ready energy sector for Ghana.
