The Deputy Minister for Defence, Hon. Enerst Brogya Genfi, today held a fruitful meeting with the Mexican Ambassador to Ghana as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.

Discussions focused on enhancing defence and security cooperation, exploring opportunities for training exchanges and technology collaboration, and disaster management.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to multilateralism, democracy, and sustainable development, recognizing the importance of Ghana–Mexico cooperation in addressing global challenges such as peacekeeping, climate change, and migration.

Hon. Brogya Genfi emphasized Ghana’s role as a gateway to West Africa and welcomed Mexico’s interest in expanding its partnerships in the region. He expressed optimism that this engagement would pave the way for stronger collaboration across defence, economic, and cultural sectors, ultimately benefiting both nations.

The Deputy Minister concluded by thanking the Ambassador for the visit and assured him of Ghana’s readiness to work closely with Mexico to advance mutual interests and deepen the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
