“This is what I have always fought for! It’s a dream come true; a victory for culture, for education, and for every Ghanaian child,” Nana Amponsah Kwaa said with delight.
According to the traditional leader, the move is not just a policy shift. It’s a revolution in education. He believes teaching in local languages will unlock students’ true potential by helping them better grasp concepts and actively engage in lessons.
Nana Amponsah Kwaa IV, who has long championed educational reform, described the initiative as a game changer that will bridge learning gaps and preserve Ghana’s identity.
He urged teachers and parents to rally behind the policy, saying the nation must never lose its voice to foreign tongues.
“When a child understands the language of instruction, knowledge flows easily. This policy will shape a new generation of confident, culturally rooted Ghanaians,” he emphasized.
The chief’s remarks have sparked widespread discussion, with many hailing Minister Iddrisu’s directive as a bold and transformative step in Ghana’s educational journey.
