Fellow Muslim brothers and sisters in Banjul! As we celebrate Eid’ul Fitr, I wish to extend my warmest regards to you and all the Muslim Ummah. This commemoration marks the end of fasting in the Holy Month of Ramadan. Thus, I urge every one of you to practice generosity by giving alms to the poor and exchanging gifts with loved ones.
As the Mayor of Banjul, I am deeply grateful for the stance of our religious leaders during this period for reminding everyone about the blessings of Allah, the importance of peaceful coexistence, and the beauty of helping one another. I want to thank you for your continued support, collaboration, and partnership as we work together to build a brighter future for our city.

On behalf of the Banjul City Council, I wish everyone, Eid Mubarak. I am seeking forgiveness from all of you and I pray that the Almighty Allah accepts our fasting and prayers. May the light of Ramadan illuminate our hearts with goodness, peace, and joy.
