On the 30th of April, 2024, Buddy Squires met and interacted with the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio.
Buddy Squires is an Oscar-nominated filmmaker and Emmy-winning director of photography and a founding member of Florentine Films. His cinematography credits include six Oscar-nominated films, one Academy Award winner, twenty-two Emmy-nominated productions, and ten Emmy Award winners. His work is regularly featured at the Sundance, Telluride, and Tribeca Film Festivals.
After a warm welcome and pleasantries, the First Lady commended the outstanding work of the great Filmmaker, which emphasized her cognizance of his achievements in the global film Industry. Mutually, Buddy Squires reciprocated, while complimenting the works of the First Lady in advancing the empowerment of women and girls around the globe.
During the discussion, the First Lady and Buddy Squires exchanged memories and their diverse experience in the film industry, which gave rise to the possibility of future collaboration and international partnership between the two parties.
