Banjul Mayor Rohey Malick Lowe met with Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio to discuss strengthening bilateral relations between Banjul and Sierra Leone.
She is the First Ever Elected Female Mayor in the history of Banjul.

The meeting, held in Banjul, Gambia, focused on exploring areas of collaboration in trade, tourism, and cultural exchange. Both parties emphasized leveraging each other’s strengths to drive economic growth and development.
President Dr. Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio reciprocated the Mayor’s sentiments, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation for shared prosperity. The meeting concluded with a commitment to further dialogue and collaboration.
